Respite Care Services
Respite Care is a short-term relief service provided when the individual’s regular caregiver is absent or needs a break. Hands of Hope Services, Inc., will provide Respite Care Services in the individual’s home and/or community settings to meet planned or emergency situations, giving primary caregivers time free from their role as care provider. This will reduce stress on the primary caregiver and promote and contribute to a stable family. This service will be rendered in the individual’s home upon request.
Hands of Hope Services’ Respite Camp will offer individuals a chance to experience a safe and structured recreational outing in the community to enable individuals (both children and adults) to build their self-esteem and develop positive relationship while having fun at the same time. Individuals in the camp will benefit from skills building, 1:1 mentoring, etc. Hands of Hope Services’ camp will also help the individuals build up their social skills and allow them to work on more specific goals developed by their families, coordinator of community services, managers, etc.
Hands of Hope Services’ Respite Camp will be offering individuals the following program/activities during the summer: trips to the museums, recreational parks, beaches, and other attractions in the cities nearby like Washington D.C., Baltimore, Annapolis, etc.
