Our Employment program provides individuals who have been found eligible for long-term support by virtue of their support needs. Hands of Hope Services provides the individual with a variety of flexible support to assist them in identifying career and employment interests, finding and maintaining employment.

HOH’s employment services include the development of community-based employment, supplemental training, and long-term job site support. Job site training will be in addition to the training the employer naturally provides. In addition, the role of Hands of Hope Services is to assist with the individual’s independence level through the development of natural support. The development of natural support involves building capacity within supervisors and coworkers at the job site to support the customer on the job. If transportation training is necessary, the individual is assisted by employment specialist in identifying the best transportation method, training them to utilize the resource successfully and ensure the individual utilizes the resources effectively and safely.

Employment services include support services that enable the individual to gain competitive integrated employment, transportation to, from, and within the activity, and personal care assistance as long as it is not the primary or only service provided. Additionally, employment services may include behavioral support, and delegated nursing tasks to support the employment activity.
