Hands of Hope provides assistive technology to individuals and their families to help maintain or improve an individual’s functional abilities, enhance interactions, support meaningful relationships, and help promote their abilities to live independently, and meaningfully participate in their community. Assistive Technology Service may include but is not limited to supply of a piece of equipment, or product system.
Hands of Hope’s assistive technology services includes staff directly assisting individuals served in the selection, acquisition, use, and/or maintenance of an assistive technology device. Hands of Hope’s assistive technology services include:

• Assessment of Assistive Technology needs.
• Hands of Hope shall provide training or technical assistance for the individual and their support network, including family members.
• Hands of Hope staff will ensure the repair and maintenance of devices and equipment.
• Hands of Hope will ensure the programming and configuration of devices and equipment.
• Hands of Hope shall coordinate and use assistive technological devices and equipment with other necessary therapies, interventions, or services in the person-centered plan.
• Hands of Hope shall consist of purchasing or leasing devices for individual served.
